How do people that do muay thai not break their bones?

i was watching a film called %26quot;ong bak%26quot; and it was all to do with using ur elbows and knees. but i was wondering, how do you get them to become stronger? are there any kind of exercises?|||sensible training and toughening up exercises.

I%26#039;d suggest

Best wishes :)***|||^^ they do break their bones once in a while. I mean not all ppl that train Muay Thai do, but once in a while low knee kick does break bones if they land it wrong. (not fun watching those...)

They do have special exercises for strengthing the bones, but you are better off doing with a person that knows what they are doing. The reason is is that you can get health problems later in your life if you do them wrong. (if you really want to, go roll a stick up and down your shin and go kick banana trees)

PS if you are asking how to make elbows and knees stronger there is almost no need. Elbows and knees are very strong part of your joints and can naturally stand a lot of force. The down side is that they don%26#039;t give you much range to work with and their range also happens to be grappling range.|||They do break their bones. every time you strike something with your bone you create microscopic cracks, over a period of time the cracks fill with calcium. bones are mended together by calcium. if you break your arm the spot where it broke will be almost imposable to break again cause calcium is much stronger then bone.

the act of strengthening bones and body parts is called conditioning

its a long and slow process without proper training you can cause permanent long term damage to yourself.|||Bone hardening is the process by which thai boxers (and many many other martial artists) condition themselves with to withstand and deliver crushing strikes.

A theory known as wolff%26#039;s law from the german anatomist, julius wolff, states that a bone under heavy load or stress will gradually grow and adapt to it. Over time it becomes stronger, thicker and more resilient to stress.

Thai boxers literally develop bones as hard as steel from countless hours of hitting the heavy bag and thai pads. Every hit creates microfractures in the trabeculae of bone tissue, leading to calcification and thus thicker denser bone tissue.

Even so, accidents can happen and bones can break. Proper diet, conditioning and learning how and when to set up successful techniques will help to minimize such accidents.|||We do break some bones sometimes. If we%26#039;re training then we stop and get treatment. If we%26#039;re fighting we don%26#039;t stop because that shows weakness towards your enemy.|||because over the years they condition their bones and they calcify and be come rock hard, shins, knees, elbows, knuckles|||A combination of toughening up the bone, strong muscles, and most importantly correct technique.|||i take it and you have to hit thee object on just the right spot or else you will break yourself|||Hit the bag
