What is best FOOD after a Muay Thai training ?

Hi guys.

I start my training on 8pm - 10 pm most of the time, after that i usually go get something to eat. What is the better food ? i usually go eat fast food.|||Protein, to help you recover and build the muscles, and since it%26#039;s late at night try also to avoid carbs.|||Pad Thai noodles, low-fat peanut butter for an extra kick of protein, and a glass of milk (if you%26#039;re lactose intolerant, make it soymilk...heck, make it soymilk anyways, it%26#039;s better for you). Also, take some zinc caplets. They help the muscles knit back together before the next day%26#039;s training.|||sushi|||Beer and bacon.

Lolz... I don%26#039;t think there%26#039;s any best food after your training. Especially after your 10 pm training. Supper at the fast food will make you fat!. I usually have a bowl of congee or some soup after my training.|||I have the same problem as you do, ... cant eat anything before training because it makes you ill, and after you have little time to grab something actually good for you... best thing for you is to have something light after training as you are most probably going to bed soon after and, just make sure you start the next day with a huge brekky, (porridge, toast %26amp; fruit).. as for dinner I get home after training myself just after 9. and found the best thing to do for dinner after discussing what to have with my trainer, is to before training cut up about a cup of veggies, (I usually have broccolli, carrot, brussel sprouts, and zuchini) and then get half a chicken breast Diced (makes for quicker cooking, fish is also really quick to cook too..) get this all prepared before class, youll thank yourself when you get home,...

then when I get home immediatly make a bannana smoothie in the blender (1x banana, 1 tbsp honey, skim milk, and 2tbsp of protien powder-vannila) and drink that while steaming the veggies in the microwave for 3mins and throw the diced chicken in a saucepan with a small amount of oil and soy sauce for 5 mins at most and then eat dinner.. at most it takes 10 mins and your eating, plus you wont need to eat as much as the smoothie would have filled you.. and it should make for a more restfull sleep, without consuming a bucketload of calories..|||How about keeping it cultural with Thai food??|||since its late evening, have a protein shake

(or meal replacement -type shake, with balanced amount of carbs, protein, etc)

its not optimal for your training to have high fatty foods or high in sodium, esp in fast food.

the protein shake will feed your body after the physical exertion but won%26#039;t sit in your stomach @bedtime

if you have to eat late night, try to keep it a couple hours before bedtime (your body%26#039;s recovery %26amp; hormonal cycles are less likely to be disturbed by the release of insulin hormones, that would be used to deal with sleeping on a full stomach)
