My question is whats the difference between the muay thai low kick and the kyokushin low kick?

I know they both hit with the shins. I wanna no the other mechanics that are envolved.|||Essentially they are the same, you can thank Sosai Mas Oyama for that, as he implemented the low kick muay thai style to his kyokushin style.|||KYOKUSHIKAI The angle is up to the target

MUAY THAI The angle is down on the target (ideally) definitely more devasting capable of cracking the thigh bone.|||The ideal kyokushin kick would be loaded first, as in you raise the knee first and then kick, while in Muay Thai you swing the leg into the opponent

After the first half min of fighting the kyokushin kicks usually turn into Muay Thai kicks anyway

The principal behind it is if you load the kick first you can strike to any part of the body and the defender will have less time to figure out where you are hitting them since the begining of the kick is idealy always the same and once the knee is raise the extention of the rest of the leg happons too quick to catch

The Muay Thai kick is a pure power action, you pivot first and let the leg swing into the opponent, both kicks are good|||Relatively the same ,however, some of karate%26#039;s low kicks are more of stomp kicks to gain distance or break balance rather than muay thai%26#039;s brute force approach.|||Neither. Muay Thai is one of the four arts that made kyokushin, so Thai%26#039;s kick is Kyokushin%26#039;s.

The mechanics are simple: the hips are rotated into the kick in order to generate centrifugal force in the leg, and the ab muscles are used when rotating. So instead of a snappy kick, the combined motion of the leg and hips makes a kick with much more devoted to its momentum. Also, when kicking, the person will also raise up on the ball of their foot, mainly to allow for greater turning speed, and increased power. The Thai roundhouse, whether high or low, uses the shin to hit the target instead of the ball or the instep. This further adds to the power of the kick, as the shin is more dense and stronger than the foot.|||Frank is right... at least to my eyes also, they look the same.
